The Golden Circle
The Golden Circle is made up of three layers. The outer layer is “What,” then “How,” and finally, “Why.” What does your business do? How does your business do it? These are common questions that companies ask themselves and answer for their client and customer bases. What sets great companies apart is the “why.”
Why is very important.
Simon Sinek talks about great innovators like Apple, the Wright Brothers, and Martin Luther King. Why were they such effective leaders? It’s because they focused on the “why” They do what they do. There are hundreds of tech companies, but Apple remains the king of innovation and design. Why? It’s because we, the consumers, know their visions and beliefs. We have aligned values and thus, we invest in their products. When it comes to solidifying your brand, you should think about why you do what you do, not just what you do and how you do it. There will be other companies who do what you do, but if you have a strong belief system, then you will shine among your competitors.
